Writing isn’t just storytelling, it’s self-revelation. Each character I create is a confrontation with hidden aspects of myself. Sometimes they reflect fears I avoid, desires I deny, or strengths I overlook. They challenge me, revealing truths I’d rather ignore.

I once wrote a reckless, impulsive character, so unlike my careful nature. But as their story unfolded, I felt their chaos whispering to me, daring me to embrace the freedom I often shy away from. Through them, I realized fiction doesn’t just mirror,it distorts, reshapes, and uncovers buried truths.

Stories strip us bare, bridging the gap between who we are and who we could be. They connect us to a shared humanity, challenging us to see not just fragments of ourselves but pieces of everyone.

So, I wonder: Do we create our characters, or do they create us? And when we meet an unfamiliar character, are they truly alien, or simply a reflection of the parts of us we’ve yet to embrace?
